How to Delete Pages from a PDF
Deleting PDF pages means saving a new PDF made of the pages you keep. This guide lists the steps we ran with this site's Delete and Rotate PDF Pages tool on a test PDF.

How do I delete a page?
Click the ✕ (delete) button on a page's picture to mark it, then click Save PDF.
- Open Delete and Rotate PDF Pages and add your PDF. Each page appears as a small picture.
- Click ✕ on each page you want to remove. The page is tagged as deleted and the summary at the top changes. In our 30-page test PDF, deleting pages 2 and 3 showed "Keeping 28 of 30 pages · 2 to delete · 0 rotated", and the deleted pages were tagged "Deleted".
- To bring back a page, click Restore (↺). To undo everything, click Undo all changes.
- Click the save button, which shows the number of pages left, such as "Save PDF (28 pages)".
- On the result screen, check the page count and size, then click Download PDF. Our test file showed "1 PDF · 28 pages in total · 77 KB", and the downloaded file was named after the original with
_editedadded (05_긴표_30쪽_edited.pdf).
Can I delete several pages at once?
According to the on-screen help, clicking page pictures lets you select several pages together. For this guide we only tested deleting pages one at a time with ✕.
What should I check afterwards?
Open the downloaded file and check the page count and that the pages you meant to remove are gone. In our test we counted pages (30 became 28); we did not compare every page's content one by one. If you deleted a page with personal information, keep the original file separately and page through the new file before you send it.
When this does not work
- You cannot delete every page. With all pages marked, the screen said that at least one page must remain and the save button could not be clicked.
- Password-protected PDFs are not supported. Adding one showed a notice that password-protected PDFs are not supported for deleting or rotating pages. → Can't Merge or Split a Protected PDF?
- According to the on-screen note, bookmarks and links that point to a deleted page, and form fields that were on a deleted page, are also dropped from the new file. We did not test this ourselves; it is the note shown on screen.
- A scanned (image-only) PDF could also be handled page by page (we saved a 1-page test scan), because the tool moves pages rather than reading text.
If you would rather pick the pages to keep, see How to extract pages from a PDF. To join the result with other files, see How to merge several PDFs into one. If the file is still large, see How to reduce PDF file size.
