Frequently asked questions
Q1. Is it really free?
Yes. No sign-up is needed. The site is paid for by the ads shown on the page.
Q2. Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Your PDF files and the converted results are not uploaded to a server; conversion happens inside the browser that opened this page. The site does collect visit information (such as cookies) for advertising and statistics — see the Privacy Policy.
Q3. Can I check for myself that nothing is uploaded?
Yes. In Chrome or Edge on a PC, press F12, open the Network tab, then convert a PDF. You will see ad and statistics requests, but no upload request the size of your PDF.
Q4. Which PDFs can be converted?
Text PDFs — files saved or exported as PDF from Excel, Word, accounting software and similar programs. If you can select words with your mouse in a PDF viewer, it is usually a text PDF.
Q5. What about scanned PDFs?
They can't be converted. Scanned or photographed pages store text as a picture. The converter will tell you when a file is a scanned (image) PDF. → How to tell a scanned PDF from a text PDF
Q6. The columns come out shifted.
Tables without lines, or with uneven spacing, are hard to split into columns exactly. Always check the preview before downloading. If the sender can give you the original spreadsheet, that is the most reliable route. → Why PDF tables break in Excel
Q7. I can't sum the numbers in the downloaded file.
Numbers with thousands separators, parentheses, percent signs or currency marks are converted to real numbers. If some cells still stay as text, Excel's "Convert to Number" fixes them. → Fix numbers stored as text
Q8. Can a table that runs over several pages go into one sheet?
Yes — choose Combine into one sheet. Header rows repeated on each page and page numbers are removed.
Q9. Can I convert several PDFs at once?
Yes. Add several files, then choose Download as ZIP (one Excel file per PDF) or Download as one file (one sheet per PDF).
Q10. Password-protected PDFs?
If you know the password used to open the file, enter it and convert. We do not remove passwords you don't know.
Q11. Will the file open in older Excel (e.g. 2016)?
Files are saved in the standard .xlsx format used since Excel 2007, with values only — no formulas or newer-version-only functions. → Moving PDF tables into older Excel
Q12. Which browsers are supported?
Tested on Chrome and Edge for PC. Other browsers and phones have not been fully checked yet.
Q13. Can I trust the result as-is?
It is produced automatically. For anything important — taxes, settlements — compare key amounts and dates with the original PDF. → How to check a converted table
